Resume Summary:

I want to use my passion for arts, education, and creativity to teach others to use their own unique voice, skills, and perspective to pursue the satisfaction that comes with creating. I am a working artist, using collage, found objects, and mixed media to create my pieces. I am deeply rooted in the conceptual theories behind art processes, which I love to explore in my own work and discuss with others. As a teacher, a goal of mine is to explore alternative methods of art creation as well as the conceptual theories behind aesthetic choices that encourage students to go beyond traditional, product-oriented art making. With my skill and expertise in many mediums, as well as extensive knowledge of art history and theory, I would deliver a rich curriculum and variance of creative experience to your school. I create art curriculum that complies with CA State Standards for the Visual Arts, but also allows students to learn from my unique perspective as a working artist and art educator and to experience new methods of modern and emerging concepts in art making. In addition to a background in  art and art education, I have over ten years experience in HR and training from working in the retail environment. My experience as a manager in the corporate sphere has given me a strong work ethic, eye for details, ability to notice opportunities while creating tangible solutions, and passion for developing the strengths of my associates.
